Interactive tools are useful both as learning aids and for performing calculations when setting up an optics experiment.

The Beam Alignment Simulator is a playground where you can practice aligning simple or complex optical systems.

The Gaussian Beam Propagation Tool lets you enter data from beam width measurements in a variety of formats and automatically calculates the beam waist parameters.

The Fabry-Perot Alignment Simulator shows how misalignment produces coupling to higher order modes. It also displays the output spectrum of the cavity.  Individual modes can be isolated and visualized.

The Mode Matching Calculator will automatically determine the best location for a lens or pair of lenses to mode match a laser to a cavity or a given beam geometry.

The Polarization Visualizerallows you to manipulate the polarization of light using waveplates and polarizers while visualizing the effect on the beam
